Our board is made up of the mothers who founded Chosen Foundation — parents who have lived the journey and now lead the work of building a lasting community for adults with developmental disabilities.
Rani Kappen holds a doctorate degree in nursing and brings more than 30 years of experience in nursing and healthcare leadership. She has held numerous community and volunteer leadership roles and is the mother of an adult with developmental disabilities. As co-founder of the Chosen Foundation, Rani is passionate about transforming lives and empowering people with disabilities to reach their full potential and thrive in their communities.
Lincy Vadakumchery brings nearly 25 years of professional experience in the information technology industry and holds an MBA and a master's degree in information systems. As the mother of an adult son with autism, she has firsthand understanding of the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. She is currently pursuing graduate studies in Applied Behavior Analysis while gaining hands-on experience working with individuals with autism. Her goal is to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and apply her knowledge and experience to support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families through Chosen Foundation. Her personal and professional journey inspired her to co-found Chosen Foundation and advance its mission of independence, inclusion, and belonging.
